Giving back to our community is a large part of who we are. Each year, the Pace Properties Employee/Community Relations Committee allocates charitable contributions to organizations with which our employees are actively involved. In addition to donating money, our employees generously devote their time and energy to a number of causes in the St. Louis community and beyond. Several Pace employees serve on local charity boards, and our employees participate in service days several times per year at various charities in the area. Recently, Pace employees volunteered with the The Little Bit Foundation, where we worked to help remove barriers to learning for children living in poverty. 10th Anniversary of 9/11
On the 10-year anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attack on our country, Pace Properties planned and executed a flag tribute at Art Hill in Forest Park to each of the fallen victims of 9/11. The 2,996 personalized flags gave visitors an opportunity to honor and reflect on the lives lost that day and how the world has changed. Each flag was available to the public for a donation; Pace Properties was able to raise $121,000 benefiting The Missouri Friends of Injured Marines and over 70 additional charities.
15th Anniversary of 9/11
For the 15th anniversary of 9/11, Pace Properties employees spent over a year planning the America's Heartland Remembers Flags of Valor tribute to all of the military service members who died in the War on Terror since 9/11. This awe-inspiring display on Art Hill in Forest Park paid tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us free and safe. Each of the nearly 7,000 flags bore the name and photo of a hero who bravely served our country, but never came home. Once again, Pace made the flags available for a donation and we were able to raise over $160,000 benefiting several charities, including Greater St. Louis Honor Flight, Missouri Military Memorial Foundation, The St. Louis Military Officer Support Foundation, and the Semper Fi Fund/America's Fund.
